Art Deco Headpiece
Exquisite vintage 1920’s double headband, created from three exquisite, and very rare, authentic early 1900’s vintage art deco paste rhinestone pieces.
The extraordinary side detail is created from three authentic art deco pieces: a rare early 1920’s buckle pairing and an early 1900’s French centrepiece. They have been brought together to create the striking side feature on this beautiful design. A delicately embellished double band of diamante chainwork complements the side detail perfectly.
The headpiece is designed to be worn with the side detail on the right side of the head. The slim flexible double headband is comfortable to wear and self-supporting.
The matching side pieces were originally a large buckle pairing. These are signed Fishon Silverite, the trademark of Henry Fishel, and the trademark dates them to circa 1915. The company was highly regarded for its high quality jewellery. Silverite was their patented process which was used to make pieces resemble platinum and diamonds as closely as possible. It is rare to find pieces like these, particularly in such wonderful condition. The centre piece is also early twentieth century and is a perfect match for the outer pieces, part of the French manufacture of couture pieces to replicate platinum and diamonds. The vintage pieces used in this design are exceptional, with such wonderful attention to detail and quality of material.
